Three towers from street level
Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Tower are often grouped as Lujiazui's three landmark skyscrapers. At ground level their stepped crown, rectangular opening and twisting façade are easy to tell apart. They look tightly packed in skyline photographs, but entrances, malls and wide roads add real walking time.

Choose one observation deck
There is little reason to visit several decks in one day. Check visibility first, then compare the currently open level, ticket and queue. The Oriental Pearl Tower sits close to the river and frames the Bund easily. Shanghai Tower gives a higher view from within the supertall cluster. They solve different viewing problems.
See both sides of the river
From the Bund, Lujiazui appears as one complete skyline. From the Pudong waterfront, the historic Bund buildings become the subject. There is no pedestrian bridge across this central stretch of the river, so Line 2 is the dependable crossing. Ferries put you on the water, but confirm the operating pier and hours that day.
