What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device. Websites and third-party services may also use local storage, pixels or similar technologies to remember settings, provide features, measure activity or deliver advertising.
Current use on Journey To China
Journey To China currently does not intentionally set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. The site does not currently use Google Analytics or Google AdSense. Basic technical storage may be used by the browser, hosting platform or security provider where necessary to deliver and protect the site.
Server logs used for reliability and security are not cookies, but they may contain technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
Embedded content
Some pages contain YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. YouTube or Google may still use cookies or local storage after you choose to play or interact with a video. Links to external websites may lead to services that set their own cookies. Those services control their own technologies and choices.
Advertising cookies if ads are enabled
If Journey To China enables Google AdSense or another advertising service in the future, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Google's advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites.
We will update this policy before advertising cookies are activated where required. We will identify relevant providers and provide any legally required controls. You can learn more through Google's partner sites policy and manage personalized Google advertising in Google Ads Settings.
Consent in regulated regions
Where consent is legally required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will not be used until the visitor makes a choice. If personalized Google ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Journey To China will use an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform and provide a way to change or withdraw consent.
For applicable US state privacy requirements, any required notice and opt-out choice will be provided before covered advertising activity begins.
Managing cookies
You can use browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking all storage may affect features on this site or third-party services. Browser controls vary, so consult the help documentation for your browser.
Advertising choices can also be managed through Google Ads Settings and, where available, industry opt-out tools such as YourAdChoices.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the site's technologies, advertising providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
