Eight lands with a Shanghai identity

Shanghai Disneyland is organised into eight themed lands around the Enchanted Storybook Castle. The castle represents every Disney princess rather than belonging to a single story, and details such as the golden peony finial give it a local identity. Mickey Avenue replaces the traditional Main Street entrance, while Gardens of Imagination opens the central approach with Chinese zodiac-inspired character mosaics.

The castle is both the park's visual centre and the stage for its nighttime program.

TRON Lightcycle Power Run sends riders along a visible outdoor canopy before entering its digital world. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure uses a large-scale boat system, projection and physical sets to move through the story in several directions. Zootopia: Hot Pursuit anchors the world's first Zootopia-themed land, surrounded by a detailed city streetscape, character windows and themed food. These experiences explain why the Shanghai park feels distinct even to visitors familiar with other Disney resorts.

Shows, the daytime parade, character meetings and the castle program create a second rhythm beside the rides. Selecting a few priorities and grouping nearby experiences by land leaves room to notice the design, restaurants and live entertainment. The named ticket must match your ID

The guest name, document type and document number used for purchase must match the document presented at entry. Accepted documents differ for mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas guests. End with the castle program

The nighttime program combines projection, music, lighting, fountains and fireworks around the castle. Its schedule and effects depend on the operating calendar and weather. Line 11 reaches Disney Resort station, while taxis and ride-hailing use designated areas; checking the final train and pickup arrangements during the day makes the closing sequence easier to enjoy.
