Bird's Nest, Water Cube and Olympic Tower
The Bird's Nest was the main stadium for the 2008 Olympics. Its interlocking steel members form both structure and façade; at night, light from the interior reads through the lattice.

The Water Cube hosted swimming and diving in 2008, then used a water-to-ice conversion for curling during the 2022 Winter Games.

Five separate shafts form the Olympic Tower farther north. Seeing all three landmarks means a real walk along the central axis, not a quick circuit of one plaza.
