The glass bridge reverses the scale of the visit

The bridge spans about 430 metres and sits roughly 300 metres above the gorge floor. Transparent panels make the depth part of the opening view; the route then descends to the water seen below.

On the floor, the path moves close to the stream and rock walls, replacing the bridge's open view with water and forest.

Design began in 2012, construction in 2014 and trial operation in 2016. The deck uses 99 transparent panels, and paths connect the high viewpoint with the gorge floor.

Limestone and water shape the narrow gorge

The canyon is cut mainly into hard Triassic limestone. Joints guide water, uplift raises the rock and streams cut down through weak lines. Walls reach about 200–300 metres, while the narrowest floor is roughly 6–8 metres wide.

Where the gorge narrows, the walls limit the sideways view as the path continues toward Shenquan Lake.

Streams, seepage, caves and groundwater connect through the karst system, which is why rapids, pools, falls and shallow bays appear in sequence.

The lower route follows streams and waterfalls

After the bridge, B uses paths, an elevator or other open facilities to descend. The route follows Shenquan Stream past Tianhe Waterfall and Colorful Lake; autumn leaves can add colour to the latter's reflections. Shenquan Lake gathers water from stream, groundwater and rain, and a boat carries visitors away from the floor at the end.

The waterfall section lies beside wet rock where water joins the stream system below.

The lake boat marks the final change from walking to water travel on the full route.

Routes A, B and B1 cover different distances

B combines the bridge and full canyon, with an official reference of about 3.5 km and 3.5 hours. A is about 3 km and 3 hours and omits the bridge. B1 is a shorter bridge-and-canyon combination; its open sections and inclusions follow the live ticket page. Choose B for the high-to-low scale reversal, A for the natural gorge, or B1 for a shorter combination.

Time slots, security and fees

Real-name time-slot reservations apply. A current bridge-and-canyon combination was listed at 216 yuan, while the base canyon ticket was 91 yuan; included sections and transport differ. Bridge security normally permits only a phone and wallet on the deck. Wind and storms can close it. Foreign passport holders can call 0744-8231222 before booking to confirm the current process.
