Three lines link the railway stations, old city and north bank
Harbin Metro currently operates Lines 1, 2 and 3. Line 1 crosses the city from east to west; Line 2 runs north–south and under the Songhua River; Line 3 forms a loop around the main urban districts. Harbin East Railway Station connects to Line 1, Harbin Railway Station to Line 2 and Harbin West Railway Station to Line 3. Their interchange stations link all three with Central Street and places north of the river.

This diagram helps with general orientation. It is neither to scale nor an official transfer map; use the station's current network map and signs for exact station names, interchanges and exits.
Line 2 joins Harbin Railway Station, the old city and north bank
Line 2 passes Harbin Railway Station and Central Street before crossing the Songhua River toward Sun Island and Ice and Snow World. From Harbin Railway Station, Central Street is on the same line, and the north-bank stops continue beyond the river. Some stations use lighting, columns and coloured glass that echo Harbin's European-influenced streetscape.
Connecting the three railway stations to Line 2
From Harbin East, ride Line 1 to Museum of Heilongjiang Province (博物馆) and change to Line 2 for the old city or north bank. From Harbin West, Line 3 connects with Line 2 at Zhujiang Road (珠江路); People's Square (人民广场) is another Line 3–Line 2 interchange that may suit a different destination and direction around the loop. Harbin Railway Station is already on Line 2. Compare the station order and the destination before choosing an interchange.
Line 3 loops through several urban districts
With its full loop in service, Line 3 passes Harbin West, Qunli, the Daoli riverside, Daowai and southern districts. Its two directions visit the stops in a different order. From Harbin West, compare the station sequence toward Zhujiang Road and People's Square on the current official map, then choose the interchange that fits the destination. Lines 1 and 3 also meet at Yida Eryuan (医大二院) and Taiping Bridge (太平桥).
Some Line 3 stations near Friendship Palace Hotel (友谊宫) and Zhaolin Park (兆麟公园) use European-style details. Lighting, columns and concourse decoration bring a visual connection with the streets above into the journey underground.
Line 1 crosses the city from east to west
Line 1 links Harbin East with Museum of Heilongjiang Province (博物馆) and Yida Eryuan (医大二院). Change to Line 2 at Museum of Heilongjiang Province or to Line 3 at Yida Eryuan and Taiping Bridge.
Check service information for the travel day
Operating arrangements can change on holidays or for special services. Check the operator's current notices and follow the signs at each station when travelling or changing lines.
